A glance through the history of Ma’ruf Club…

In the Matriculation Centre, Lembah Pantai, it was called Al-Badr. A year later, it became a unit under the Discipline Secretariat of MSCC in IIUM Matriculation Centre, Petaling Jaya and it was known as the Islamic Caring Unit (ICU). Its activities were monitored by STADD. At the same time, in the IIUM Main Campus, Gombak, the same da’wah movement was placed under SRC with the name of Ma’ruf Group.

The role of ICU in the Matriculation Centre was constantly maximized and among them was the ICU Operation during the Matric Mega Carnival, similar to the Ma’ruf Operation in the main campus during the Convocation Fiesta (CONVEST) in 2000 and 2001. Ma’ruf Club is an organization which aims to always reenergize its da’wah, so that, its programs and activities may touch the hearts of the IIUM community at large to make Islam the way of life. After obtaining its status as a club, Ma’ruf Club has stronger ability to move forward actively, along with other clubs and societies in IIUM.

OBJECTIVES OF MA’RUF CLUB

i) To foster good relationship with the IIUM community by spreading dakwah through friendly and effective means.

iii) To organize related programmes for the IIUM community and the public with professionalism in every aspect.
